2022-2023 Season

Departures and Arrivals: Horror, Fear, and Hope!

Northern Light Theatre invited you to book your seat on their next exciting journey and we thank you for joining us on our 47th year of flight during our 2022-2023 Season, bringing challenging and provocative theatre to Edmonton audiences.

“Thank you for flying with us, Edmonton,” said Artistic Director Trevor Schmidt. “Without you we would be stranded on the tarmac. This past season we presented plays about horror, fear, and hope — and we loved sharing it all with you.”

NLT was nominated for 10 Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Awards for our 2022-2023 season. We are honored to have received these nominations for work from our 47th year of sharing theatre with the Edmonton community.

“The Sterlings mean a lot, as they represent a shared celebration of excellence by our peer group,” says Artistic Director Trevor Schmidt. “To be recognized by your colleagues for your creative efforts is immeasurably inspirational and invigorating. The validation of our friends, co-workers, audiences and other artists reminds us that we are not creating in a void.

We send our congratulations out to all who were nominated- and those who were not. Your work is no less valid, no less important, no less of anything. Continue to create and stretch boundaries and make waves and take chances. Keep our community vibrant, diverse and challenging!”
