A series of plays meant to provoke discussion around issues of gender, transgender and gender norm
A play about transitioning and male violence, a heartfelt testimonial of a Christian woman grappling with her daughter’s identity as ‘gender-queer’, and a sprawling multi-media musical — dissecting of every variation of gender and illuminated by over 16 hours of recorded interviews with community members of all ages, races, social economic backgrounds, sexual identity and gender self-identification that was the core of the production.
The 2014-2015 season also saw the introduction of NLT’s Salon Series Events meant to facilitate further discussion on the work presented.
