THE PINK UNICORN
WINS BIG!

Northern Light Theatre is thrilled to announce that our beloved 2015 play THE PINK UNICORN won big at the Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award​s this past Monday night!

Louise Lambert, who performed the role of Trisha Lee in this solo show, took home a Sterling for OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS.

And the production of THE PINK UNICORN won the coveted award for OUTSTANDING PRODUCTION OF A PLAY.

Artistic Director Trevor Schmidt also won a trophy for OUTSTANDING NEW FRINGE WORK (Award to Playwright) for his script FLORA AND FAWNA'S FIELD TRIP (WITH FLEURRETTE!) which he penned with Darrin Hagen.

Finally, our Production Manager Adam Tsuyoshi Turnbull won a Sterling for Individual Achievement in Production.

J.J., the hearing son of deaf parents, agrees to teach sign language to the mysterious Eliza, a gorilla rescued from a research lab by animal rights activists. Eliza demonstrates a gift for signing and bond passionately with her new teacher until they face an ethical conundrum. A co-production with Good Women Dance Collective.
